Celia Pacquola joins Dancing With The Stars

Comic to take part in Australia's version of Strictly

Comedian Celia Pacquola is to take part in the next series of Dancing With The Stars, Australia’s version of Strictly Come Dancing.

The stand-up, who also stars in the sitcom Utopia and Rosehaven, has today been announced as part of the line-up for the show, which returns to Network 10 on February 9.

She tweeted just one word to go with the news. ‘Whoops.’

Pacquola was based in the UK for a few years before returning to her native Australia and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe four times between 2009 and 2014. Her British TV and radio appearances include  The Rob Brydon Show, Russell Howard's Good News, Live At The Apollo and The Unbelievable Truth.

Also joining Dancing With The Stars is  Ed Kavalee, a comedian and presenter who is a regular on Network 10 panel show Have You Paying Attention. He also hosts a radio show on the Hit Network with  fellow stand-up Dave Hughes.

The other contestants are Olivia Newton-John’s singer daughter Chloe Lattanzi; actress Claudia Karvan; rugby player Beau Ryan; Christian Wilkins - who is the socialite son of Australian TV personality Richard Wilkins; singer Dami Im; Aussie rules footballer Travis Cloke; reality TV personalities Angie Kent and Dean Wells.
