Comic arrives in Brisbane, sparking rumours

Andrew Maxwell is rumoured to be joining this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 

The comic was pictured arriving at Brisbane Airport on Monday morning, close to where the series is filmed He landed a few hours after Caitlyn Jenner and former footballer Ian Wright, both of whom have already been linked to the programme.

According to the Mirror, after leaving Arrivals, Maxwell told photographers he wouldn’t take his sunglasses off as: ‘No one will know who I am anyway’.

He reportedly added that he was afraid of the snakes, adding: 'We don’t have Snakes in Ireland and you should never trust an animal without shoulders who can’t shrug.'

Maxwell, 44, has some experience of reality TV as the narrator of MTV’s he Ex On The Beach; and in 2004 he won King Of Comedy – a Channel 4 reality show which pitched younger comics against veterans such as Stan Boardman and Mick Miller, with all the contestants living in a Big Brother-style house.

Maxwell’s name was not on a list of I'm A Celebrity contestants leaked to The Sun today. Also on there were Coronation Street star Andrew Whyment, former EastEnders star, Girls Aloud singer  Nadine Coyle, DJ Roman Kemp and rugby player James Haskell. 

ITV has not confirmed any names yet

The new series kicks off on on Sunday night,
