New stand-up show about the ‘mind-bending intensity of new motherhood'

Josie Long has announced a 2020 tour of her new show, Tender.

The three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee will unveil the show at the Stand during this year’s years Fringe.

She then takes it on a 34-date tour of the UK in the first half of next year, starting at Cambridge Junction on January 17.

Tender is described as being about the ‘mind-bending intensity of new motherhood, kindness, gentleness, and joy’ and aims to leave audiences feel ing optimistic about the future, no matter how it may seem.

Long started performing comedy at 14 and went on to win the BBC New Comedy Award at the young age of 17 and best newcomer at the 2006 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. After a brief hiatus to study for a degree, she returned to stand-up to be was nominated for best show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

With director Doug King she has also produced the Glasgow-based comedy film Super November.
