
Who's doing the next Chortle sessions?
Tips on radio comedy and the Edinburgh Fringe
The line-up has been confirmed for the forthcoming Chortle Session giving advice for comics going – or planning to go – to the Edinburgh Fringe.
Being held at the Museum of Comedy in London on June 4, the event will feature Ryan Taylor, head of comedy at the Pleasance; top comedy producer Brid Kirby of Fight In The Dog; long-standing Edinburgh publicist Madelaine Bennett; and Chortle editor Steve Bennett.
They will discuss how to get the most out of the festival for those going this year – and what you need to be thinking of now if you're planning on doing a show in 2020.
Earlier in the evening, as previously announced, Julia McKenzie, the head of radio comedy for BBC Studios, will be talking about get into radio comedy as a writer, performer or producer.
Radio 4 offers one of the biggest audiences in the UK, with its comedy output reaching 5.5 million listeners a week.
