Comic joins panel later this month

Ahir Shah is to make his debut on Have I Got News For You.

The political comedian will be appearing on the BBC One show on May 24.

Victoria Coren-Mitchell will be hosting the show, with Jess Phillips – the Labour MP who has been the subject of rape threats form Ukip candidate Carl Benjamin – as the other guest.

Shah, who studied politics at Cambridge, was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2018, when one reviewer called him ‘one of his generation's most eloquent comic voices’.

His episode will be the eighth, and penultimate, in the 57th series of the long-running show.
