Seann Walsh quicksteps into Strictly's danger zone

Judges mark down comic's 'messy' dance

He may have survived tabloid scandal, but Seann Walsh's future on Strictly Come Dancing now looks tenuous - because of his dancing.

The comic and partner Katya Jones scored just 24 points tonight, placing them second from bottom of the leaderboard and in danger of elimination in tomorrow night's results show.

Walsh played a busker as he danced the quickstep to Lightning Bolt by Jake Bugg

Judge  Shirley Ballas told the comic he 'looked a little anxious' and 'made mistakes'.

Craig Revel Horwood commented on Walsh's 'messy footwork', but praised the 'lovely and vibrant performance' while Darcey Bussell said he got 'over-excited'.

And guest judge Alfonso Ribeiro added: 'I don't get this dance either' saying it 'lost energy midway through'.

But Katya said: 'We did 50 hours training this week, I'm proud of him.'

However Red Dwarf's Danny John Jules is at the other end of the leaderboard, as he and dance partner Army Dowden scored 37 points, including the first perfect 10 of the series from Bussell.
