Big move towards cracking America

Michael McIntyre has set his sights on breaking the US, signing his first American agent.

The comic has joined CAA, one of the biggest talent agencies, which represents such A-list stars as Kanye West, Beyoncé, David Beckham, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep and George Clooney.

Despite previously expressing no interest in breaking America, McIntyre performed in New York’s 3,000-seat Beacon Theatre earlier this year as part of his Big World Tour.

McIntyre will continue to be managed by Danny Julian at Off the Kerb everywhere but the US. 

The news of his signing was broken on American website Deadline.
