Mortimer and Whitehouse catch 1.2million viewers

Strong start for their Gone Fishing series

Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse’s fishing show netted a very healthy audience for BBC Two last night.

The opening episode of Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing drew 1.2million viewers to BBC Two.

That’s more than a third up on the average audience for that 10pm slot.

Figures from overnights.tv suggest the audience was also more male and older than the average BBC viewer.
