Jo Brand to present radio quiz for Women's Institutes

Jo Brand is to host a one-off BBC quiz show that pits two Women’s Institutes against each other.

In WIQ, teams from Manchester and Cambridge will be competing to display ‘their knowledge, wit, wisdom and IQ’.

The programme will be recorded for Radio 4 at Broadcasting House in Central London on Monday lunchtime, and free tickets are available from the BBC.

It is not known if this is a pilot for a potential new series, but the  corporation has linked the show to the centenary of the first women being given the right to vote in the UK.

WIQ is not the only quiz show Brand is hosting this year, as she will front Britain’s Best Junior Doctors, a show that will be stripped across BBC Two over a week marking  the 70th anniversary of the NHS next month.
