Key and Peele reunite for animated comedy

Playing demon brothers

Sketch duo Key and Peele are to reunite in a new animated comedy film.

Jordan Peele – who won this year’s screenplay Oscar for Get Out – and Keegan-Michael Key are to provide voices for Wendell and Wild.

The stop-motion comedy – which Netflix is financing and distributing – is about  two scheming demon brothers

Wendell and Wild is based on an original idea by Henry  Selick,  who was behind Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and he is writing the script with Peele and Clay McLeod Chapman, Hollywood website Deadline reports.

A book based on the characters is also planned.

Key and Peele ended its Comedy Central US run in 2015, after three years and 53 episodes.
