Nina Conti pilots new game show

Celebrities will be wearing face masks

Nina Conti is piloting a new celebrity game show.

The comedy ventriloquist will use masks to go over the jaws of the contestants in Face Time – turning them into ‘living puppets’ so she can make them answer the questions however she wants, and in whatever tone of voice.

It’s a technique she has previously used on Live At The Apollo and her stage show, which has had two West End runs.

She will be recording the try-out episode of the show at the London Studios next month with a view to a possible series – although the pilot is not for broadcast.

Producers say the show ‘promises to be lots of fun [and] packed with stars’, who will be competing to win money for charity.
