Peter's wealth swells by £1.9million

Peter Kay is earning more than £5,000 a day – even before he embarks on his mammoth UK arena tour.

In 12 months, the comic’s wealth swelled from £27.7million to £29.6million it has been revealed – and in a year when his profile has been relatively low.

Today’s Sun reports that two of his companies made £1.9million profit in a year, according to the latest accounts filed in Companies House.

In 2017 Kay starred in and co-wrote four episodes of Car Share, and made two more yet to be seen, and appeared in an episode of Inside No 9.

But next year he begins a 100-date tour of arenas, after an eight-year absence, which will set his fortune soaring further.
