Frankie Boyle releases a stand-up album – for free

Prometheus Vol 1 recorded just last month

Frankie Boyle has released his new hour-long stand-up special for free online.

Prometheus Vol 1 was recorded at the Edinburgh Fringe last month, where it scored four-star reviews across the board.

It’s a typically brutal show with a political edge, with such confrontational gags as: ‘Tories are far more ruthless. Tories hate coming second. Which is why they only fuck kids.’

‘I’m surprised that joked didn’t make the  "pick of the Fringe" list,’ he added.

Elsewhere, the hypocrisies of the Royal family, Hilary Clinton, Theresa May and more are skewered with his trademark brand of horrific imagery.

The audio can be heard and downloaded for free on Boyle’s website. He tweeted over the weekend that it was ‘free to you, the oppressed masses… citizens of austerity Britain’.

Boyle’s previous show Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved was distributed by Netflix last year, making him the second British comic after Jimmy Carr to release a stand-up special exclusively via the streaming giant.
