...based on items audience bring along

David Mitchell is piloting a new panel show, based on items the audience bring along to the studio.

A run-through of the format next month will feature Hugh Dennis, Tom Allen and Angela Barnes as the panellists.

The aim is to talk about ‘everything from regrettable impulse buys to embarrassing family photos, inappropriate gifts to toe-curling teenage love letters or even baffling family heirlooms to hideous items of clothing’.

And producers say the format ‘combines the curiosity of the Antiques Roadshow with the spontaneous wit of Mock The Week’.

It is not yet known if a broadcaster is attached, or whether the show is in speculative development.

The trial episode will be recorded on July 25 at the Leicester Square Theatre in London. Free audience tickets are available from Standing Room Only.
