Astute observationist Hal Cruttenden, livewire Felicity Ward, creative sketch trio Pappy’s, affable Tory Geoff Norcott play the Comedy Store, in an appealing pre-Christmas bill MCed by charmer Jimmy McGhie.

Tuesday December 13

LIVE IN LONDON: John Robins impressed with his insightful and funny show Speakeasy at the 2015 Fringe - and now it gets another run out at the wonderfully intimate The Bill Murray pub in Islington, Angel Comedy Club's new second home.

LIVE IN LONDON: Josie Long Hosts Christmas This Year promises a ‘fun cavalcade of a festive stand-up show about one of the most fraught days of the year’ at the Battersea Arts Centre until Saturday.

Wednesday December 14

LIVE IN LONDON: Tout le monde’s favourite faux Frenchman, Marcel Lucont, presents another night of his entertaining variety show at the Prince of Wales in Brixton, featuring the inventive stand-up of clever-clogs Simon Munnery and the recent star of France’s Got Talent (appropriately enough) Asher Treleaven,  among others.

Friday December 16

LIVE IN LONDON: Michelle Wolf - a regular contributor  for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah - brings her Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated debut show So Brave to the Soho Theatre for a two-week run, with its spiky content concealed behind some preppy charm. Expect Trump jokes.

Saturday December 17

LIVE IN BIRMINGHAM: Few people can spread the festive joy like enthusiastic housewife/entertainer Mrs Barbara Nice. The effusive alter-ego of Janice Connolly presents her annual Christmas Raffle at the MAC tonight and tomorrow.
