Team captain opposite Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison

Tom Rosenthal is set to be a team captain on a new ITV2 panel show opposite Vicky Pattison.

The Friday Night Dinner star will face off against the reality TV celeb in Codswallop Club, to be hosted by X Factor contestant turned TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.

Its format has echoes of BBC One smash Would I Lie To You?, as guests have to work out which member of the opposing team is bluffing.

Rosenthal is already a face of ITV2 thanks to his lead role in ancient Roman comedy Plebs.

A pilot is being recorded in  front of a studio audience in London next month – though whether it makes it to air with the same teams, or even at all, remains to be seen.

Former Geordie Shore star and I'm A Celebrity winner Pattison is already a regular on Channel 5's new dating show It's Not Me, It's You.

Codswallop Club was devised by Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson, who was yesterday named the new host of ITV2's The Xtra Factor.
