BBC One has commissioned a tenth series of comedy panel show Would I Lie To You?

Host Rob Brydon and team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack have both signed up to  return for the ten new episodes.

Peter Holmes, joint managing director at programme-makers Zeppotron said: ‘I am very proud to have created a show that is about to return for its tenth series. They only made seven Police Academy films so we must be doing something right.’

Pinki Chambers, Commissioning Editor at the BBC said "We’re delighted to be welcoming Would I Lie to You? back to BBC One. It’s hugely popular and just seems to get funnier and funnier. Be prepared for a lot of laughs coming your way!"

The commission includes a compilation edition and Christmas episode, although no guests have yet been confirmed.

All episodes will be shot at Pinewood Studios and air later in the year.

Would I Lie To You? has just been nominated for a Bafta for best comedy or comedy entertainment for the third year running.
