Baconface gets his own radio show

Crackling on the air

Stewart Lee's 'inspiration', Baconface, is to present his own radio show.

The cult Canadian figure, known for wearing a Wrestling mask covered in bacon, will front a regular rock music show on Resonance FM, entitled Global Globules.

During the show, the Chilliwack-based comedian promises to 'rifle through his late brother's record collection to showcase 1970s selections from a different region or social group'.

The show launches next week, but a spokesman for the pork-faced stand-up said 'the exact timings may never be revealed'.

The alternative London-based Resonance FM has been home to comedians such as Daniel Kitson, Lewis Schaffer and John Dredge, while many stand-ups have appeared in benefits for the station. Lee is a high-profile supporter who has dubbed it 'the best radio station in London'.

Resonance FM broadcasts to the South Bank and Bankside in London and is also available online.
