More Toast? I'm not sure says Matt Berry
Comic has other projects to pursue
Matt Berry says he's not sure if there will be another series of Toast Of London.
He concedes the show has 'done me more good than anything else I've done' – but says he has other priorities.
'I want to do more of it, but I don't know when it could be and I don't know if there'll be a new series. I've other things I want to do,' he said in an interview with Loaded magazine.
His next project is to make an album with his band The Maypoles, whose tracks include the Toast theme tune Take My Hand, which they sang live on Channel 4 last Wednesday over the closing credits:
You don't see this very often - @porksmith performing the theme to #ToastOfLondon LIVE. They're on tour, you know… https://t.co/Nb9bYrrIem

Berry is also planning a film about the British countryside, and has other projects on the go that he says he can't speak about because 'the arse might fall out of a project at the last minute. So it wouldn't exist anymore and I'd look like a bleeding idiot if I'd blabbed about it'.
But he also told Loaded he had ideas for a further series of Toast, which he writes with Father Ted co-creator Arthur Mathews, if it was to return.
'I could take Toast to New York or Los Angeles,' Berry said. 'He'd probably hate LA, I don't think he'd like it at all. Which would be good for the show.'
The third series of Toast of London continues this Wednesday and concludes on December 23.
Meanwhile the fifth and final episode of his Matt Berry Does… iPlayer shorts, Happy New You, will be released at 9pm on January 1, the BBC has confirmed.
