A tight 5: September 9

Tim Vine is piloting a chat show for Radio 4, in which he'll interview members of the audience rather than celebrities. The show is based on a format he's previously performed at Edinburgh Fringe and on tour (Review), and will be recorded at the BBC Radio Theatre in central London on September 22. THE Dave channel has set the air date for the fifth season of Parks & Recreation as October 12, starting with a double bill at 8pm. This series originally aired on NBC in the States from 2012.

WILL FERRELL was named comedian of the year at the GQ Men Of The Year awards last night; with James Corden taking the TV personality category.

THE firm that runs the ticket for the Edinburgh Fringe has announced its revenues have broken the £1million barrier for the first time. Red61's VIA system processed 2 million tickets at the festival and takes a share of the booking fee. The company stepped in to provide tickets to the Fringe in 2009 after the previous box office system, provided by a different company, collapsed on the first day of sales.
