Objective's head of comedy Ben Caudell moves after 6 months

Channel 4 has appointed Ben Caudell, currently head of comedy at Objective Productions, as head of entertainment.

In his current role, which he has only had since November, Caudell Ben is responsible for Objective’s scripted comedy programmes including Toast of London and Peep Show.

Before this he was creative director at Zeppotron, a company he co-founded with Charlie Booker in 2000. Zeppotron's output during his time there included Black Mirror, Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night and You Have Been Watching.

Jay Hunt, chief creative officer of Channel 4 said: ‘Ben's appointment heralds a new era of entertainment at 4. He's a wonderfully eclectic creative and couldn't feel a better fit with the channel.’

Caudell added: ‘I’m sorry to be leaving Objective so soon, but the opportunity to be a part of the new wave of entertainment at Channel 4 has proved too exciting.’
