Listen to the voicemails of the stars
Forget phone-hacking – Kayvan Novak is making a new comedy show in which he imagines the messages left on the answerphones of famous people.
The Celebrity Voicemail Show will air on Radio 4 in an 11pm slot from September.
A BBC spokesman said: 'Each episode centres around the voicemail of a particular celebrity as we hear the messages their agent, taxi driver, co-star, grandparents etc. leave for them.
'A story emerges through the messages they leave, as well as through the background conversations in the messages.'
Novak will voice all the characters himself. It follows a similar idea he tried out on Funny Or Die back in 2007, involving the answerphone of Robbie Williams:
Novak is the voice of Brains on the Thunderbirds reboot and is about to bee seen in the BBC One Spanish-set comedy-drama The Suntrap (formerly Woody) opposite Bradley Walsh.
