One minute to win a free film-school place

New comedy shorts competition

A one-minute comedy short will win one aspiring film-maker six months' of crucial training in the business.

London's prestigious Met Film School is offering £10,000 of tuition to the winner of its Comedy Challenge – enough to cover its six-month, full-time course in practical film-making.

The school is based in Ealing Studios – the home of British comedy movies, famed for classics such as Passport To Pimlico as well as more modern films such as Shaun Of The Dead.

To enter, film-makers must upload a video anywhere online before April 15, and tweet the link to @metfilmschool including the hastag #metcomedychallenge. All films should be less than 60 seconds long and will be judged by a panel of comedy industry professionals, including Richard Herring.

Competition organisers say: 'All you have to do is make a short video that makes the judges laugh.'

The prize vouchers can also be used for other courses at the film school, such as short classes in scriptwriting. Visit the website for full details.
