R4 commissions another series of Danny Robins sitcom

Radio 4 has commissioned a second series of The Cold Swedish Winter.

Written by Danny Robins, pictured, the comedy revolves around a London stand-up – played by Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Adam Riches – living in Sweden.

Six new episodes will air next year.

The show is recorded on location with Swedish actors including Sissela Benn, who played the equivalent character to Dawn in the local version of The Office, and stand-up Frederik Andersson.

Robins – who has a Swedish wife – announced the news on Twitter, posting: 'Delighted to announce that @BBCRadio4 have commissioned a 2nd series of my sitcom The Cold Swedish Winter. 6 eps next year. Can't wait...'
