'I can't believe my black ass just fell off stage'
Watch as comic takes a tumble...
It’s not the most common occupational hazard of being a stand-up… but one comedian suffered bruised pride when she fell off stage during a gig last week.
Roz McCoy took a tumble after dropping her mobile phone on stage at the Latitude Live show in Indianapolis
Bending down to retrieve it, she tottered on heels before tumbling right off stage
After a moment of confusion she said into the microphone: ‘I’m fine. I’m embarrassed. We’re just gonna do the show from right here. No I don’t want to get up.
‘I can’t believe my black ass fell off stage in front of a thousand…’
The 53-year-old comic then walked back on stage – without her shoes, or her phone – to continue compering the gig
And now she has posted a video of last Friday’s incident on YouTube
Under the video she wrote: ‘I dropped my cell phone while performing on stage. When I keeled over to pick it up, my tata's decided that they wanted to do a gravity check. The 4 inch heels I was wearing said, "Sure, go 'head"
‘Needless to say, I'll be wearing flip flops on stage from now on.’
