SARAH MILLICAN married fellow stand-up Gary Delaney last weekend. She announced the news on Twitter, saying: 'We are loved up and beaming.'

RARE and unaired footage of 'the godfather of alternative comedy' Malcolm Hardee is to be aired on Sunday – what would have been his 64th birthday. Hardee's sister Clare is behind the event, which starts at 8pm at the Fox and Firkin in Lewisham High Street, South East London. It is presented in conjunction with the makers of the forthcoming documentary film about Hardee's life, All The Way From Over There.

THE return of Birds Of A Feather after 16 years has proved a ratings hit, with the sitcom attracting an average audience of 7.8million viewers to ITV between 8.30pm and 9pm last night.

MEANWHILE star Lesley Joseph is tour the UK in the spring in Hot Flush, a show she has previously toured and billed as 'the naughtiest musical in town'. The poster carries the slogan: 'Warning! You may laugh your knickers off. Book now girls!'

VOTING has opened in the breakthrough category of South Bank Awards, for which Nick Helm has been nominated as comedy's representative. Vote here. Separately, the shortlist for the comedy category – which is not decided by the public – is Bridget Christie, the Alan Partridge film Alpha Papa and the Sky Arts sitcom Psychobitches.
