Matt LeBlanc comedy Episodes has landed a fourth series - before the third has even aired.

Filming on the nine new episodes – a co-production between the BBC and America’s Showtime – will take place sometime next year.

The third season of the show begins in the States on January 12, after 18 months off air, with the fourth expected to be broadcast sometime in 2015. British air dates for either series have not yet been announced.

It is about the Hollywood adventures of British writers, played by Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig, as their UK sitcom is remade into a crass, but successful, US version.Season three will pick up with the two characters back together after a split.

The show ismade by US sitcom kings David Crane and Jeffrey Klarik, and Britain’s Hat Trick Productions, headed by Jimmy Mulville.
