Billy Connolly gets cancer all-clear

Prostate op was complete success

Billy Connolly has been given the all-clear for his prostate cancer.

The 70-year-old comic broke the news live on TV today – midway through a discussion about Celtic’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

Last month, his publicist revealed Connolly had the very early stages of prostate cancer and had undergone a successful minor operation in America.

And today the Big Yin told Sky Sports News: ‘I got the clearance on Wednesday on my cancer so I’m OK’.’

Connolly has also been diagnosed with the initial symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, but vowed it would not stop his stand-up or acting work.
