Sharon Horgan to direct her first film
Sharon Horgan is to direct her first film.
The Pulling creator has signed up to helm the new sci-fi comedy-drama, Meet Me In Ten Years.
The plot involves a mid-twenties New Yorker called Ava, who wins a government lottery to spend 30 minutes with herself from ten years in the future – but the two don’t get along.
It was written by Frances Poletti, whose graduation short from the National Film and Television School – the animation Miss Todd – won gold at the 2013 Student Oscars.
Poletti tweeted: ‘Over the moon that @RealSharHorgan is attached to direct feature Meet Me In Ten Years with Salon Pictures producing’ – while Horgan said: ‘I’m very excited about this. Writer @francespoletti is a huge talent.’
Last year Horgan made her TV directing debut, with her Sky1 Little Crackers short.
With a £1.3million budget, Meet Me In Ten Years s being produced by Salon’s Nick Taussig and Paul Van Carter.
