Russell Brand brings his talk show to UK

Two episodes taping in London

Russell Brand is to host two episodes of his US talk show in front of a British audience.

He is coming to London next week for the first of two recordings of Brand X Live at the Duchess Theatre on March 7. The second episode will be shot the following week.

The previous day, he will host a mammoth Comic Relief gala at Wembley Arena featuring Frankie Boyle, Simon Amstell, Jimmy Carr, Eddie Izzard and Jason Manford, among others.

Brand X Live, which airs on the FX network in the States, promises ‘everything from big name celebs to riotous crowd interaction’. And unlike most TV recordings, where tickets are free, Brand is charging West End prices of £28.50 for these tapings.

This week FX moved the show from its 11.30pm slot to half an hour earlier.
