Four more gongs for church sitcom

Rev has swept the board at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards, sccoping four prizes.

It was named best comedy and entertainment show and best writing, while co-star Olivia Colman picked up two awards for best actress and the best breakthrough.

Meanwhile, the prize for best single drama went to the Morecambe and Wise biopic Eric & Ernie.

Producer Beryl Vertue, whose credits include Men Behaving Badly and Coupling, won award for outstanding contribution to broadcasting – just days after being honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the Royal Television Society Awards.

The Broadcasting Press Guild Awards were voted for by media journalists and handed out at London's Theatre Royal.
