Mike McShane dead? Thankfully not...

Hacked Twitter account sparks rumours

American comic Mike McShane has reassured fans he’s all right after a rumour spread around Twitter that he had died.

Earlier today, a message on his official Twitter account carried the message: ‘Sad news... Mike McShane passed away last night’ prompting concern among his 1,200 followers.

But after four hours of uncertainty, the56-year-old Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Comedy Store Players regular quoshed the story, revealing that his account had been hacked.

‘Hello It's Mike McShane and I'm fine,’ he tweeted. ‘I have been hacked and someone has a lousy sense of humor... but I'm alive and I smell angry!’
