ITV has another bite of Keith Lemon

Second attempt at primetime show

ITV is having another bash at making a prime-time star of Keith Lemon.

The character’s creator Leigh Francis is to record a second ITV1 pilot later this month, entitled Keith Lemon Kisses It Better, in which he attempts to solve the nation’s problems.

The blurb for the show, made by independent producers Talkback Thames, says: ‘Whether it is finding love, getting a new haircut, performing with their favourite band, or getting their own back on their lazy husband, you’ll witness Keith helping people in ways only he knows how.’

The format of the pilot – which is not for broadcast – is based on an agony aunt-style feature he has previously presented on This Morning

This will be the second attempt to find a mainstream format for Lemon, given the runaway digital success of ITV2’s Celebrity Juice. Keith Lemon’s Bang Tidy Show was piloted earlier this year.
