For new BBC One series

Jasper Carrott is to return to his stand-up roots for a new BBC One series.

The One... will be a mix of stand-up and sketches, featuring a different guest comic hosting each episode.

Carrott will be introducing one, with Lenny Henry and Griff Rhys Jones fronting the others. It will be Carrott’s first notable TV stand-up in more than a decade, and he’ll also be performing comedy songs.

The shows are being recorded in London next month, ready for broadcast later this year.
