New low for Peep Show

Audience plunges to 760,000

Peep Show has suffered another bad week in the ratings – with just 760,000 watching the first airing of the latest episode on Channel 4.

The figure is 125,000 – or 14 per cent – down on the opening episode last month, despite a rally that saw ratings rise above 1million for the second week.

A further 64,000 people watched Friday’s show an hour later on C4 +1; and the show performs well on on-demand platform 4oD.

But the ratings – a new series low – will disappoint Channel 4, which last week confirmed that two new series have been commissioned

BBC One comedy did better on Friday night, with Have I Got News for You seen 5.9 million and Live at the Apollo by 4.65million.
