Sarah Millican's a Loose Woman

Comic joins ITV panel

Sarah Millican is to join the regular panel on ITV1’s Loose Women.

She broke the news when she appeared on the show today, saying: ‘I'm so excited to be getting my name on a Loose Women mug, it's already on order.’

And she said that when she texted a friend that she was ‘officially a Loose Woman’, the friend ‘thought I’d split up with my boyfriend’.

The 35-year-old, who won the if.comedy best newcomer award at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008, will join the lunchtime show in January, when it returns from its Christmas break.

She will be joining panellists including Coleen Nolan, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin and Lynda Bellingham on the show, which attracts an audience of around 1.3million each weekday.

Millican – whose TV credits include Michael McIntyre's Roadshow, Have I Got News For You and Live At The Apollo – will also be on tour next year, with her latest show Chatterbox.
