Online comeback hailed a hit

The online revival of Alan Partridge has attracted more than a million views.

The figure comes from around 665.000 views of the full episodes added to the views of preview trailer clips.

Funded under a sponsorship deal from Fosters lager, the first episode has proved by far the popular, with just under 400,000 views to date.However, fewer than half returned for the second instalment.

You Tube also offers demographics information, which shows the Mid Morning Matters show is most popular with men. The most popular group are those aged 35-44.

Henry Normal, managing director of production company Baby Cow, said: ‘It's a testament to the continuing quality of Alan Partridge that we have reached a million hits in such a short space of time. This is such an exciting project with a great team behind it.’

The fourth of the 12 episodes launches this Friday. Here is a preview clip:

Meanwhile, Fosters has also released a series of viral videos called Two Men In A Bar as part of its drive to become associated with comedy. Here is one of them:
