Harry Hill's a comic

New strip relaunches Dandy

Harry Hill has been turned into a comic-strip character to relaunch The Dandy.

The comedian features on the cover of the latest edition of the world's longest-running comic, which is out tomorrow.

Hill will also be writing Harry Hill’s Real-Life Adventures in TV-Land (Featuring Knitted Character) with his usual team, led by David Quantick. It will be illustrated by Dennis the Menace artist Nigel Parkinson.

Also joining perennial favourites such as Desperate Dan and Bananaman are new strips include including Pepperoni Pig, Postman Prat and The Y-Factor.

The comic's editor in chief Craig Graham said: ‘The Dandy has constantly evolved over its 73-year history, but the brand new Dandy is the best and funniest it’s ever been. We’re providing something quite different to our competitors… based on the unique Dandy heritage, exceptional British cartooning talent
