Watson & Oliver to record pilot

BBC show for sketch duo

Sketch duo Watson And Oliver are to shoot a pilot show for BBC Two later this month.

Lorna Watson and Ingrid Oliver will record the try-out show in front of a studio audience at Television centre on March 26.

The show is being billed as ‘supported by the team behind French and Saunders, Miranda, Peep Show, The Inbetweeners and Absolutely Fabulous’

The duo have performed at Edinburgh three times, and have appeared in TV comedy shows including Peep Show, The IT Crowd and We Are Klang.

When the pilot was first announced late last year, the BBC’s head of comedy Mark Freeland said: ‘It’s brilliant that Watson And Oliver have the chance to show how talented and funny they are and I'm proud that they are going to be doing this with us, in-house.’
