Flashmob gathering in Eric's honour

Fans of Eric Morecambe staged a ‘flashmob’ gathering in Liverpool on Saturday – all wearing masks of the comic genius.

The stunt was arranged to promote the hit play Morecambe coming to the town, and backed by the local Echo newspaper, which printed the masks for its readers.

The event created a ‘sea of Morecambes’ before the crowd gave a rendition of Bring Me Sunshine.

Bob Golding's one-man show is currently on tour after its successful West End run, marking the 25th anniversary of Morecambe's death.
