Sitcom spawns stage musical
Danny DeVito’s US sitcom It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has spawned a stage spin-off.
The Get Shorty star is leading the cast on a tour of the US with a show based on the musical finale of the last series.
It follows a successful try-out of the show, The Nightman Cometh in Los Angeles earlier this year, which sold out in minutes.
DeVito said: ‘It's been really great to get back there and have that feedback from the audience.’
The vulgar sitcom, which airs on FX, is about three guys and a girl who own an Irish pub. Here’s a teaser trailer for the TV show:
