More Burgundy?

Anchorman sequel may be on the cards

A sequel to cult comedy movie Anchorman could be on the cards, star Will Ferrell has revealed.

The actor, who played Seventies newsreader Ron Burgundy in the 2004 original, is meeting the rest of the cast in the hope of organising a sequel.

But he admits it might not be released for at least a couple of years.

He told Zoo magazine: ‘I can tell you this; we're going to talk to all the guys next week - Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and everybody else - to see if it's feasible to do it.’

‘But I think the odds are good. My next year is already booked up, but hopefully we can start filming in a couple of years.

‘We have talked about setting it in the Eighties. Do you try to change it up and try a different era, or is it better seeing these guys stuck in the Seventies? I don't know yet.’
