Baynham to rewrite Arthur

Russell Brand movie edges forward

The remake of Arthur, starring Russell Brand in the role Dudley Moore made famous, has taken another step forward, with a writer now attached to the project.

Peter Baynham, who previously worked with Sacha Baron Cohen on the Borat and upcoming Bruno movies, will pen the new script.

Arthur is being co-produced by Larry Brezner, who made the 1981 original.

Welsh-born Baynham was previously a performer, too, and appeared in I'm Alan Partridge, The Day Today, Lee & Herring’s Fist Of Fun, and an advertising campaign for Pot Noodles.
