New BBC sketch show for Montgomery

The writing team for the new series includes Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan, Rhys Thomas from Down The Line and Big Train actor Kevin Eldon, while the Fast Show’s Charlie Higson is script editor.

A pilot is to be recorded in front of a live studio audience next month, although details of transmission times and channel are not yet known.

New characters include Moaner Lisa, the Wild Swimmers and Tim Vincent's Mum.
