Cobra ups its deal

More cash for comics on iPhone gizmo

Comedians contributing jokes to a new iPhone application created by Cobra Beer are to get hundreds of pounds more that initially announced.

Last week, Chortle revealed how the company was looking for ten stand-ups to each contribute ten jokes to a new gizmo for the Apple phones – but offering just £10 a gag.

However, now producers now say they pay £500 cash to each of the acts chosen – as well as five cases of lager.

Comics who are over 18 and who have ten original gags of between 10 and 30 seconds will be auditioned on December 16 in East London.
