Doing it for the lolly?

Corden may write jokes for ice-cream sticks

Gavin and Stacey star James Corden could be finding a new career - writing jokes for ice-cream sticks.

Wall’s phased out the gags in 1988, but have approached the star and co-writer of the hit BBC Three sitcom about reviving them; and he’s said to be interested.

A spokesman said: ‘We want to re-launch the jokes on lolly sticks and we thought that using a comedian like James would be ideal.

‘We have spoken to James’s agent about providing the jokes and he seems keen.

‘James is an up-and-coming comedian who is cutting edge. The jokes won't be too long, probably just long enough to comfortably fit on the stick. He has a fantastic sense of humour.’
