Big Brother's big break

Jack jumps into BB hotseat

New stand-up Jack Whitehall is to be the first guest presenter of the new series of Big Brother’s Big Mouth.

The 19-year-old comic will be following in the footsteps of Russell Brand when he hosts the E4 show discussing the ninth series of Channel 4’s reality TV show.

He will host tomorrow’s launch show at 11.40pm and the Friday night show, before handing over to Radio 1’s Chris Moyles, for the next week of the run.

Whitehall was a child actor in various television dramas, but decided to pursue stand-up after leaving school. He was a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny talent hunt at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, and was nominated for best newcomer at this year’s Chortle Awards.

The Thursday launch show will also feature League of Gentleman star Steve Pemberton as a guest.
