Joly to host consumer show

The Trigger Happy TV comic will host The Complainers, in which a team of campaigners take up public cases against corporate incompetence, as well as everyday niggles.

The squad will use ‘unorthodox methods’ in some of their fights, industry newspaper Broadcast reports.

Six hour-long shows, produced by North One, are set to go out early next year.

Five’s controller of factual entertainment Steve Gowans said: ‘Dom was the natural choice as our fearless champion of the people and he's also very funny.’

Producers are likely to invite consumers to upload videos of themselves venting their anger onto the internet to spark the investigations.
