Shock jock Stern remakes Porkie's

The controversial presenter announced that he would be producing the film five years ago, but it has only now been given the green light.

He told movie website Slashfilm: ‘They say it’s all greenlit and everything, ready to go. They say they can even start shooting in October, but I don’t know if that’s true.’

And he said the delay was in finding a good script; ‘We got two scripts that were developed simultaneously. We’re going to combo them now because there’s funny jokes in both and you have to figure out which is better for the movie. And I obsess on shit, too ,because you want it to be good.’

Stern said no director was yet in place to remake the 1982 Fifties-set film, which spawned two sequels and a new genre of gross-out teen comedies, such as American Pie.
