Murray lands his own radio show

Pub Landlord Al Murray has landed his own radio show.

The comic will host the Sunday afternoon slot on Virgin Radio for five weeks, starting this weekend.

The show, in regular presenter Tim Lovejoy’s slot, will be set in his pub and feature guests.

Murray said: ‘When the great British inventor Marconi came up with radio he knew that it meant the ugly could speak to the blind and no one would be any the wiser.

‘What better way to celebrate this than having me broadcast direct from my pub on Virgin Radio?’
